The situation
Sisalwool is a natural fibre manufacturer with a strong product and a clear sense of purpose — but when they came to me, the commercial and operational infrastructure hadn’t kept pace with where the business needed to go. The initial brief was a rebrand and website build. It didn’t stay there.
As the engagement developed, it became clear there were broader opportunities that hadn’t been on the original brief — gaps in operational foundations, internal alignment, and the commercial narrative the business needed to tell investors convincingly.
What I did
Delivered the rebrand and website build as commissioned, then extended into the areas that mattered most: rebuilding operational foundations, aligning internal teams around a shared direction, and developing the go-to-market narrative that would hold up under scrutiny. That narrative became the backbone of the pitch deck and financial structure behind a successful fundraise.
The work was practical throughout — built with the team, not handed to them.
The outcome
Sisalwool completed a successful fundraise supported by the commercial narrative and financial structure developed during the engagement. Operational foundations rebuilt. Internal alignment established. A business in a stronger position than when the brief began.
We brought Darcie in to lead our rebrand and website build.
Over the course of the engagement, her scope grew considerably as she identified opportunities we hadn’t anticipated.
She took on our operational foundations, internal alignment, and go-to-market narrative. She also helped build the strategy, narrative and financial structure behind the pitch deck that supported our successful fundraise.
The work was practical and well-executed. Sisalwool is in a stronger position because of it.
