These days, the big idea is just the beginning of a campaign. The ecosystem has become so massive and complex, ensuring it can technically be delivered and how that should happen can be daunting and difficult, but that’s where I can help.
Example
Request:
We want to deliver a competition where users submit a photo to win a prize.
Solution:
We began with a requirements gathering chat – what specifically were they looking to achieve, what was the detailed mechanic? They chose the use of a hashtag and comments/submission in Facebook posts. This added an additional level of complexity due to the capabilities of monitoring and counting Facebook comments for submissions.
In this case, I recommended an out of the box solution that automatically collected submissions across Twitter, Instagram and their Facebook page when the correct hashtag was used.
This app also had the capabilities to create a microsite that could live off of their Facebook page, avoiding the need for development of a page onto their existing website. Often this can be a better solution when there are tight restrictions within the organisation with regards to the website.
Strategic planning and support through to the tactical development, implementation, technicalities and even costs to deliver their vision, are all touchpoints where value can be added.
In summary…
If you are looking to deliver a social media campaign for a client but don’t know where to begin, how to implement your vision and measure success, or just want to sanity-check some ideas, get in touch and we’ll see how I can help.
